A group of foreign students who study at the University of Hong Kong organized a trip to Ghana, Africa, to understand the situation of the HIV positive children there. They made a documentary film, in which they discussed whether, and how, they have or have not been affected by this trip.
Why do these students from Sweden, Germany, the UK and China come to study in Hong Kong? How do they interact with the locals? In the group who went to Ghana, not one was from Hong Kong, why is that? Is there a cultural divide between the West and the East? What is the West and what is the East? Can we still make distinction along such a line?
By using the documentary as the prop, we shall compare and contrast, discuss and debate. Get ready.
